Magnetic fractional plates...

We just got in our magnetic fractionals today from PDA. These guys are "The world's prime supplier of fractional plates and eclectic lifting paraphernalia."

For those that aren't quite sure what fractional plates are and why you should have them, check out this primer in PDA's plate library.

We've had a set fractionals for our barbells for about 1 1/2 years. When I first saw them I just thought it was a cool piece of kit for the gym and a pretty clever idea. Since then, the fractional plates have gotten more use than just about any other piece of equipment we have (minus the bumpers and barbell itself!). They've been especially helpful for getting pr's on the shoulder press (SP) and bench press (BP), where a 5 lbs jump just isn't gonna happen.

Wanting the same versatility for fractional increases on dumbbells and kettlebells, we finally made the purchase of the magnetic fractionals. We only ordered the 1 lbs plates, but PDA sells "imperial plates" in increments of 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and 1 lbs. They also sell them in metric increments of 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 kg.

When it comes to customer service, these guys are the absolute best! You get prompt emails that your order has been received, then when it gets ready to ship you receive an email that includes tracking numbers and a pic of your product with the shipping label next to it. If only other companies we've dealt with were half as tight. So as you can guess, I highly recommend checking out PDA!
